Unfortunately, if the patient is infected with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, or syphilis viruses, we regret to inform you that treatment cannot proceed. Additionally, if the virus test shows positive reactions for CMV IgM, EBV IgM, or Herpes IgM, further confirmation is required through additional virus PCR testing.
IgM antibodies are temporary and can disappear within weeks to months to be replaced by IgG. If the patient still tests positive after PCR testing, we recommend retesting for the virus after several months.
